Iowa Environmental Protection Commission to meet at Historic Park Inn Tuesday morning

MASON CITY – The Iowa Environmental Protection Commission (EPC) will hold a business meeting at the Historic Park Inn on Tuesday morning at 10 AM, following a two hour meeting at the Chamber of Commerce.

The public is invited to make comments, starting at 10:30 AM.  Requests to speak must be submitted ahead of time by calling 515-313-809 prior to the meeting or at the meeting prior to the start of public participation.

According to State Senator Sharon Steckman, Iowa has 572 polluted waterways, “the highest number in the 14 years of record keeping, one of the most polluted in the nation.”
