MASON CITY – A Clear Lake man was arrested this week on a theft charge.
According to Clear Lake police, Dustin Robert Hutchison, 37, was arrested after he was caught stealing aluminum cans from a bin at the Lake Town Charlie Brown parking lot.
“The cans are collected and redeemed by the Chamber of Commerce to go towards the 4th of July fireworks,” Police Chief Greg Peterson explained.
Hutchison posted bond and was released pending a court date.
Hutchison plead guilty to public intoxication on June 12th and June 24th. He owes $195.00 and $465.00 to Iowa courts in those cases.
