MASON CITY – Police have announced the arrest of two North Iowa men on sexual abuse charges.
Mason City police said Tuesday that Tyler Edward Teepe, age 19 of Charles City and Jeffrey Scott True, age 23 of Mason City, were arrested on Monday, January 21st on a charge of 3rd degree sexual abuse, a class C felony.
Police said the arrests were the result of an investigation where the two men had allegedly sexually abused a female juvenile in Mason City. A class C felony is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
Neither man appeared in the jail population on Wednesday. Jailers said Wednesday that both men were released while supervised to department of corrections office.
A no-contact order with the victim was imposed by Judge Patrick Byrne.
Teepe and True face a preliminary hearing on February 8th, 2013.
