Federal report: Iowa ranks first in high school graduation rate

U.S. Department of Education data released today shows that Iowa had the nation’s highest graduation rate in 2010-11.

Iowa graduated 88 percent of students.  Next in line was Wisconsin (87%), Indiana (86%) and Illinois (84%).

The states with the lowest rates were Nevada (62%) and New Mexico (63%).
