East State Street Utility and Street Improvements
Work on the East State Street Utility and Street Improvements project will be suspended for the winter, the week ending November 30, 2012. Traffic signs will be installed and seeding will be completed before the project is suspended.
When the project resumes in the spring, sidewalks and pedestrian ramps east of Kentucky Avenue will be reconstructed. The remaining street between Kentucky Avenue and Illinois Avenue will be resurfaced with Hot Mix Asphalt followed with pavement markings.
6th Street SW Utility and Street Improvements
Work on the 6th Street SW Utility and Street Improvements project will be suspended for the winter, the week ending November 30, 2012. The contractor is expected to continue working to replacement a sanitary manhole at the intersection of Pierce Avenue and also the replacement of two storm intakes east of the Cheslea Creek Bridge before ceasing operations. Traffic signs will be installed and seeding will be completed before the project is suspended.
When the project resumes in the spring, 6th Street SW will be resurfaced with Hot Mix Asphalt followed with pavement markings.
