HAMPTON, IA – A farm house just outside the city limits of Hampton suffered major damage Monday at 12:26 PM, according to the Hampton Police Department.
The home, located at 1703 Iowa Highway 3 East, had two residents and they were not home at the time of the blaze. They are now receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
Police said they do not yet know the cause of the fire and an investigation is underway.
Along with the Hampton Police Department, Franklin County Sheriffs assisted at the scene along with the Iowa DOT and Franklin County Ambulance.
