Although the temperature was freezing yesterday and most people stick to activities that are done inside, there were those that enjoyed being out in the cold. Ice skating and skiing on Big Black were a couple winter activities going on Thursday.
Cold, yet sunny, made a good day for ice skating for father and son, Tom and Noah Hawkins (pictured). Tom was giving some pointers on hockey to son Noah as he skated around getting exercise himself.
On the otherside of Big Black was Dwight Beavers (pictured, below). He was doing some cross country skiing practice.
“This is about the least amount of snow that can be skied on, there’s not much here at all,” said Beavers.
He had been skiing back and forth across Big Black for about an hour and a half.
