Suchanan “Chacha” Tosevigen, 47, of Plymouth, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly February 20, 2025 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa.

A funeral service will be held 11:30 am, Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City, IA 50401. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.

Chacha was born May 6, 1977, daughter of Duan and Homchan Arsairat. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science while still living in Thailand. By some red string of fate, she came to know Roy Tosevigen. They fell in love and were united in marriage June 4, 2016 at the Covered Bridge in Rockfalls, Iowa.

Chacha was one of the sweetest and goofiest people you could ever meet. She was so carefree with her joy in life; making people laugh despite themselves. A joke or witty response was always at the ready. Her kind, fun loving nature resonated deeply with those she held close to her. She was down to earth and loved babies, children and animals. Her family meant the world to her; every moment spent with them was a blessing in her eyes. She and Roy loved to go fishing together. Her love language was cooking. She loved cooking Thai food and sharing it with her friends and family. Chacha was well known for her green thumb. You couldn’t keep her away from the garden if you tried. She grew a wide variety of vegetables, fruits and flowers. Picking asparagus was one of her favorite pastimes. Her legacy is one of unconditional love and the simple joys of life. Chacha’s gentle spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire kindness in others.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roy; step-children, Amber Nixon, Brittney Friederich, Brandon Tosevigen; step-grandchildren, Rainesa Nixon, Dayce Nixon, Eleanor Friederich, and Lennie Friederich; parents, Duan and Homchan; siblings, Atchara “Joy” (Somsak “Nuum”) Charoenlaksanakul, Chanisa “Annie” (Yutthana “Joe”) Khantikun, Nattaya “Kratay” (Arthit “Pee” Thongsongsom) Arsairat; niece, Nuttanicha “New” Charoenlaksanaku; as well as many friends and extended family.

Preceding her in death are her paternal and maternal grandparents.
