IOWA CITY – A new business has arrived in Downtown Iowa City’s Northside neighborhood, offering space and programming designed to improve access to wellness support in the community. Sangha, located at 123 North Linn Street, Suite 2F in Brewery Square, offers a financially accessible space where wellness practitioners and other professionals can come together to support physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. With coworking offices and a multiuse programming space available for rent, sangha aims to build a community where wellness practitioners can collaborate and provide shared inspiration.
The name “sangha” is from a Pali word meaning “community” or “to bring together,” and this philosophy is at the heart of the space. Differing from traditional office or co-working spaces, sangha is primarily focused on supporting wellness professionals, although the space is available to anyone interested in using the space.

The space within sangha is designed to accommodate a variety of uses. The programming area is equipped for classroom training, conference room meetings, or a variety of group programming for wellness offerings. The flexible space can accommodate up to 30 participants and is fully equipped with meeting equipment, meditation cushions, and yoga equipment for movement practices. Sangha also offers a collaboration space featuring open seating, private lockers, and options for catered gatherings. Additionally, the wellness collective provides a range of office solutions, from permanent private offices with 24/7 access to hoteling offices available for daily or short-term rentals.

Sangha stems from its founder’s journey. After more than two decades in a variety of executive business roles, Brad Baldwin sought a new way to contribute to the community—one that aligned with his passion for mindfulness and well-being. While building his mindfulness-based coaching practice, he saw the need for collaborative opportunities for solopreneurs and a space suitable for wellness-based offerings. “I started sangha because I saw a need—not just for myself, but for others doing meaningful work in our community,” Baldwin explains. “As a mindfulness teacher, I love what I do, but I needed space for group programming. I also wanted to be surrounded by others doing similar work, to be inspired by and connected to others. Sangha is a place for wellness practitioners who need both—a professional home for their business and a collaborative environment to grow in.” Recognizing that other wellness practitioners faced similar challenges, Brad launched the sangha wellness collective.

Bringing sangha to downtown Iowa City was an intentional choice, aimed at creating a space that is accessible to everyone. The Northside neighborhood offers an ideal backdrop for a business rooted in inclusivity. Committed to making wellness and community programming accessible, sangha prioritizes affordability for wellness practitioners and non-profit users over financial gain.

Sangha is now accepting bookings for space rentals, co-working leases, and short-term office rentals. To learn more about the sangha or inquire about rentals, visit http://www.sanghaic.com and contact Brad. Visit 123 North Linn Street to experience the wellness collective and see the space firsthand. All are welcome.
