Fred N. Clark, 79, of Kanawha, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City. A memorial visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Cataldo Funeral Chapel.

Fred N. Clark, 79, of Kanawha, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.

A memorial visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., Garner. Inurnment will be at a later date at Harlington Cemetery in Waverly.

Fred Nolan Clark, the son of Fred Wesley and Lola Mae (Jones) Clark, was born April 21, 1945, in Monette, Arkansas. He grew up in Monette where he attended school until the eighth grade. Fred worked on a farm in northern Arkansas picking cotton and operating a dairy. In 1966 he moved to Iowa where he met his wife, Sharon Liddle. They were married on June 2, 1973, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Fred worked at Clay Equipment in Cedar Falls for 30 years. From 1996 to 2004 he owned and operated Cedar Valley Electroplating. In 2012 he and Sharon moved to Kanawha to be near family. He enjoyed building farm toys and attending flea markets.

Fred is survived by his wife, Sharon, of Kanawha; two sons, Shawn (Kristi) Clark of Garner and Rodney (Deb) Clark of Waterloo; grandchildren, Haley (Josh) Chizek, Keegan (Kassadi) Clark, Grant Clark, Zach Suby, Ronan Clark, Levi Clark, Alex Clark, Wyatt Guthrie and Haley Guthrie; great-grandchildren, Beau Chizek, Tate Chizek, Faustina Clark, Aryannah Guthrie, Bentley Hill and Justice Hill; six siblings, Dennis (Patsy) Clark of Cedar Grove, TN, Mary (Frank) Blankenship of Marmaduke, AR, Bobby (Ona) Clark of Mt. View, MO, Debbie (Bob) Parmenter of Hartville, MO, Mike (Donna) Clark of Pleasant Plains, AR and Robbie Clark of Lafe, AR; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two daughters, Sheila Clark in 1971 and Rhonda Williams in 2019.
