Virgil Lee Henrickson, was born on September 5, 1944, in Rodman, Iowa, the son of Ernest and Marie (Nelson) Henrickson. He passed away surrounded by his family at his home in rural Graettinger, Iowa on November 19, 2024, at the age of 80 years.
Virgil graduated from Graettinger High School before marrying Diane Petersen on August 1, 1964. Together they raised five children, Travis, Chad, Darren, Tatum and Tyson.
Virgil farmed in the area all of his life. In his free time, he enjoyed riding motorcycle and snowmobiles, and morning coffee with friends. Virgil could often be found sitting in his truck on the hillside enjoying the scenery. He loved being outside and hunting.
Virgil is survived by his wife Diane Henrickson, his children, Travis (Nicole) Henrickson, Chad (Tracy) Henrickson, Darren (Kris) Henrickson, Tatum (Jeremy) Truog, and Tyson (Mikki) Henrickson; 12 grandchildren, and two sisters, DeLaine Rustad, and DeAnna Henrickson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Donaven Henrickson and Darryl Henrickson.
