LaVera Dralle, 91, of Allison, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Waverly Health Center. Funeral services will be 10 AM, Wednesday, November 27, at Trinity Reformed Church, Allison with burial at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Vilmar. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
LaVera Sophia Dralle was born September 17, 1933, to Earl and Berniece (Woodson) Coop. LaVera grew up in the Hawkeye, Iowa area. She was a farm girl telling many stories how she enjoyed helping her dad on the farm.
LaVera was united in marriage to Junior Dralle, to this union four children were born: Deb, Doug, Daniel and Doreen. Junior and LaVera farmed together. After Junior passed, LaVera proudly received her CNA certificate and worked as a CNA until her retirement.
LaVera LOVED talking on the phone. She could do this for hours. Learning how to text in her 80’s was a great accomplishment! She loved going on adventures with her co-worker and best friend of 35 years, Pam Schneiderman. A lot of times they would be gone morning until night shopping, eating her favorite Chinese (orange chicken) and topping it off with ice cream. If her kids or grandkids would find the need to check up on her while out she would let them know with her ‘spicy’ little attitude, “I’m in my 90’s and old enough to take care of myself.”
LaVera is survived by son Daniel Dralle (Wendy); daughter Doreen Dralle (Dean Bartz); grandchildren: Chad Dralle, Deedra Davidson, Jeremy Dralle, Chasity (Josh) Symens, Chelsey (Dusty) Miller, Doug (Stephanie) Harre, Michael (Angie) Stirling, Trent (Jordan) Stirling, Brett (Marissa) Stirling; great grandchildren: Colten, Carter and Corbin Dralle, Hendrix & Jaxson Symens, Bently, Ryland, Lynken, Avryck and Owynn Harre, Layla Miller, Lilly and Lola Stirling, Macy, Molli, Colt and Tate Stirling.
LaVera is preceded by her parents, Earl and Berniece, brothers, Russell, Arlo, Ronald, Dale and Larry, one sister June, her husband Junior Dralle, son Doug and daughter Deb Harre.
