Beverly Ann Nichols was born to Lucy Lee & C.J. Nichols (both deceased) on July 18, 1954. Beverly was one of nine children.

Beverly, as a child was a member of Redeem Church of God in Christ and throughout her life had other church memberships wherever she lived. She graduated from Finney High School in Detroit, MI. and received a four-year scholarship to attend Langston University but decided to get married and start a family instead of going to college. Beverly did attend Mercy College completing her education as a medical office assistant; most recently she worked as a medical service representative for United HealthCare remotely from home.

Beverly was married to Gregory Gaylor, Sr and that union resulted in four children Lykia Lorenz, Shannika Gaylor, Gregory Gaylor, Jr and Kyle Michael Gaylor.

She was known at Redeem Church of God in Christ for teaching Vacation Bible School for many years. She loved going to church, her children, and made the best peach cobbler ever.

Beverly leaves to cherish her memory three children: Lykia Dionne Lorenz (John Michael); Shannika Gaylor, Kyle Gaylor; grandchildren and great-grandchild: [ Taylor Rene Lorenz, Jazmine Michelle Lorenz, Gabrielle Dionne Warner, Jeziyah ChristopherNkem Tatari-Ali, Keegan Marshan Jeremiyah Gaylor, Gregory Gaylor III, Honor Gaylor, NyAsia Orion Gaylor, Kya Celeste Gaylor, (great-grandchild) Omari Tariq Foster] and her siblings -Clara Staples, Edith Binion, Carolyn Nichols, Francis Gray (deceased), Charles Nichols, Sheila Foust (Barry), Tara Nichols, Augustine Nelson and a host of other family and friends.

Beverly was born and raised in Detroit, MI, and lived in Crestview, Florida and Charlotte North Carolina for several years. Beverly died on November 15, 2024, at 5:40 pm in Mason City, IA where she lived her last days with her sisters by her side.

There will not be a funeral, Beverly was cremated on November 17, 2024, according to her wishes but there will be a memorial tree planting, July 18, 2025. Please send your email or home address to missbevann@gmail.com if you would like to be invited to the memorial or receive more information.
