AMES – No. 11 Iowa State resumes play after an off week as it hosts Texas Tech at Jack Trice Stadium for its 111th homecoming game. The game will be televised on ESPN and kickoff at 2:30 PM.

The Cyclones are looking to improve to 8-0 to start a season for the first time in school history, surpassing the previous best start of 7-0 in 1938.
Iowa State is one of eight undefeated teams nationally. The Cyclones are undefeated heading into November for just the third time (1916, 1938) in their 133-year history. The Cyclones are bowl eligible for the seventh time in nine seasons under Matt Campbell.
LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State had a stunning comeback against UCF on Oct. 19 to propel it to 4-0 in Big 12 play … the Cyclones jumped out to a 14-7 lead but then fell behind by 14 points early in the second half. Rocco Becht didn’t have his sharpest performance, but when the game was on the line he marched the Cyclones 80 yards in 1:18 and scored on a one-yard QB sneak to take back the lead with 0:30 remaining … Becht tossed a pair of interceptions and was just 20-for-46 passing, but he rushed a career-high 20 times for 97 yards, the most in his career … he had two rushing touchdowns and one through the air. The comeback was ISU’s first when trailing by 14 or more points since beating Baylor in 2020. ISU ran for 256 yards.
ISU-TTU NOTES
The Cyclones face the Red Raiders for the 22nd time … the series is tied 5-5 in games played at Jack Trice Stadium with ISU winning three of the last four meetings. The Red Raiders have won the last two games in the series by a total of seven points … Iowa State wins in the series have been by an average of 21.4 points, while Texas Tech wins have been by an average of 17.4 points.
J In the last meeting in Ames, ISU compiled 422 yards of offense but managed just 10 points, going 1-for-5 in the red zone … the Cyclones missed a field goal and had another blocked in the loss.
