RURAL KOSSUTH COUNTY – This Northern Iowa driver was out tooling around with enough dope to make an elephant forget his problems, and now she is giggling behind bars as charges mount.
On June 30, 2025, at about 8:40 PM, a Kossuth County Deputy conducted a lawful traffic stop near 210th Avenue and 310th Street. A Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit assisted on the stop and the K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs within the vehicle. Deputies searched the vehicle and located illegal substances and Items known to be drug paraphernalia.
Staci Marr, age 43, of Thompson, Iowa, was arrested and transported to the Kossuth County Jail and charged with:
• Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp Class D Felony
• Possession of a controlled substance, (meth) Serious Misd.
• Possession of Marijuana, 1′ Offense Serious Misd.
• Possession of Cannabidiol, 1″ Offense Serious Misd
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Simple Misd.
Marr remains jailed awaiting court appearances.
