OELWEIN – Cops in this small Northern Iowa town struck back against alleged drug dealers in two house raids over the weekend.
At approximately 5:20 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024, the Oelwein Police Department executed a search warrant in the 100 block of North Frederick in Oelwein. During the course of the search warrant, illegal controlled substances were located and seized. The following subjects have been arrested and charged:
1) Michael Andrew Seeders, 28 of Oelwein:
Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana under 50 kilograms – Class D Felony
Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp – Class D Felony
Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana 1st Offense – Serious Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor

2) Cameron Ray Seeders, 22 of Oelwein:
Possession of Controlled Substance Marijuana 1st Offense. (Serious Misdemeanor)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor

3) Collin Michael Ricchio, 21 of Oelwein:
Possession of Controlled Substance Psilocybin 1st Offense – Serious Misdemeanor
Possession of Controlled Substance Marijuana 1st Offense – Serious Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor)

At approximately 5:25 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024, the Oelwein Police Department executed a search warrant in the 10 block of 7th St. NW in Oelwein. During the course of the search warrant, illegal controlled substances were located and seized. The following subjects have been arrested and charged:
1) Michael James Seeders, 47 of Oelwein
Possession With Intent to Deliver Psilocybin a Schedule I Controlled Substance – Class C Felony
Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana Under 50 kilograms – Class Felony
Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp Over 7 Grams Psilocybin Substances – Class D Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor

2) Karen Anne Seeders, 43 of Oelwein
Possession With Intent to Deliver Psilocybin a Schedule I Controlled Substance – Class C Felony
Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana Under 50 kilograms – Class Felony
Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp Over 7 Grams Psilocybin Substances – Class D Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor

The subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail pending an initial appearance. Additional charges are pending, and these cases are still under investigation. The Oelwein Police Department was assisted by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
