OBIT: Ronald Lavern Schultz

Ronald Lavern Schultz, 70, of Grafton, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center. A Private Family Graveside will be held by the family on Saturday April 20, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Grafton Cemetery.

Ronald Lavern Schultz, 70, of Grafton, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center.

Per his wishes his body has been cremated and a Private Family Graveside will be held by the family on Saturday April 20, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Grafton Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 308 4th Ave, Grafton, Iowa, all are invited to attend. Those who would like to bring pictures or memories of Ron are encouraged to bring them and share.

Ronald was born August 14, 1953, the son of Elmer and Bonnie (Deal) Schultz. He graduated from Marion High School where he participated in wrestling and football. After high school he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic. For 40 years he was a chiropractor eventually running his own business, Schultz Chiropractic Clinic until his retirement in 2016.

In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He liked being outdoors whether it was fishing, gardening, camping or golfing. Ron also was a Little League Baseball Coach for several years. In Ron’s younger years he attended Reservation Lutheran Church in Marion, Iowa.

Ron will be remembered for his healing, caring, loving compassion, and great sense of humor.

Those left to cherish memories of Ronald are his wife; Lana Schultz; mother, Bonnie Bartz, children, Zach Schultz, Nick Schultz, Aubrey Sutton, Ronnie Schultz Jr. all of Marion, Iowa; Jessica Fitch of Wisconsin, Leeana Olson of China, Maine, and Kimberly Olson of Duluth, Minnesota; sister, Sheila Lundon of Northwood, Iowa, 17 grandchildren, one great grandchild; as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

Ron is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Lavern Schultz.
