MASON CITY – For the seventh time in her career and second time this season, NIACC’s Sarah Bertry was selected as the ICCAC Division II female cross country athlete of the week for the week of Sept. 20-26.
Bertry, who also won the award this season for the week of Aug. 30-Sept. 5, placed 29th at in the Division II Maroon race at the University of Minnesota Roy Griak Invitation last Friday.
Bertry placed 29th in the Division II Maroon race at the University of Minnesota Roy Griak Invitational last Friday on the rain Les Bolstad Golf Course. Bertry covered the 6-kilometer course in 23:29 in her first-ever 6K race.
Her placed was the third highest ever by a NIACC women’s runner in the Division II race at the Griak Invite and her time of 23:29 is also the third-fastest time by a NIACC women’s runner at the Griak Invitational.
