MASON CITY – Mason City police started off April 1st with a report of a fight in progress around 12:10 a.m. at Sidewinders Lounge located at 810 S. Pennsylvania Ave. in Mason City. The report states officers spoke with all the subjects involved and does not indicate anybody was arrested as a result of the complaint.
By 1:40am Mason City Police were responding to a fight behind Alley Katz Bar located at 1341 Federal Ave North in Mason City. The report does not indicate anything beyond nine officers were dispatched to the location that has been required excessive police intervention in the past few months. A recap of reports includes reported gunshots on two occasions, the capture of wanted fugitives, and a bartender being arrested for public intoxication.
At 1:58am Mason City Police were called away on report of a fight at Elevens Night Club and Lounge located at 11 Delaware Ave South in Mason City. As a result of the call to Elevens 26-year-old Ashley Anne Billings of Clear Lake was arrested.
Billings was transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail and booked on one serious misdemeanor account of assault on a peace officer, one simple misdemeanor count of interference with official acts, and one simple misdemeanor count of public intoxication.
Billings has been released from the Cerro Gordo County Jail pending further court proceedings.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
