OSAGE – In the last few days, several reports of construction tools being stolen have been reported to the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office, and law enforcement is seeking clues to stop the crimes.
The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office says that on February 24, 2021. Yost Construction, located at 2021 465th St., Stacyville, reported that approximately $4,000.00 worth of construction type equipment, including Milwaukee cordless tools, were stolen from an enclosed trailer at their residence. The theft took place sometime on Sunday, February 21, 2021.
On February 25, 2021, Holdeman Builders, located at a building site at 2988 Hwy 9, Riceville, reported that approximately $2,700.00 worth of construction type equipment, including DeWalt cordless tools, were stolen from this site.
If anyone has seen anything suspicious in either of those locations or has information about these thefts, please contact the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office.
