Police and schools in Manly claim to resolve recent bomb threat

MANLY, IOWA – Police and schools in Manly are claiming to have resolved a recent bomb threat.

According to a joint statement released by Darwin Lehmann, Central Springs School District Superintendent, and Aaron Pals, Manly Chief of Police:

On the evening of January 28, 2021, Central Springs School District became aware of a bomb threat made to the safety of students and staff at Central Springs schools by an individual(s) on the live chat line of the school district’s YouTube channel. The district immediately involved law enforcement and classes were canceled on Friday, January 29, to assure the school campuses were safe.

We want to make you aware that the investigation of the incident has concluded. There will be no additional statements made in regard to the incident.

Threats such as these are serious, and we will not tolerate threats of any nature. I urge you to talk to your children and impress upon them the seriousness of threats in today’s society. Ask them to notify you or school personnel should they hear of any planned or potential disruptive behavior.

The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority, and we will continue to be vigilant.

The problem around here is that Manly has a in comppetent Police Chief who is MORE worried about being liked other than doing his job! YOU HAVE TO Discipline. That’s why these kids continue to do what their doing around here because they know THEIR FRIEND PALS will DO NOTHING.
These kids have stolen off of peoples property, stolen cars, stolen golf carts, damaged property INCLUDING the post office, broken windows on businesses it just keeps going and never stops and this chief does NOTHING. What’s it going to take? Someone to get seriously hurt?
CHIEF: you are in a profession that you are not suppose to be liked like that DO YOUR JOB!

Where are the parents Mr Fedup? Police officers should be respected above all. Respect is taught by the parents. They are conspicuously absent.

Good question!

The point is that it keeps happening , same kids, its always something. No charges are ever filed, just a “Talkin To” and he thinks that will solve the problem. it wont.
We got vigilantes around here because NOTHING is ever done how dangerous it that?

So, who was it?

They let him off because he said someone important told him to do it and he couldn’t say no.

probably the teachers union

I don’t imagine picking up cans is a job that unions cover is it? Too bad for you.
