Senator Amanda Ragan will serve on “Empower Rural Iowa Initiative”

Senator Amanda Ragan
DES MOINES – State Senator Amanda Ragan of Mason City will participate in the Empower Rural Iowa Initiative as a member of the Growing Rural Iowa Task Force.

“Many Iowa counties are losing population. There are many reasons why, but not nearly enough work on reversing that trend,” said Ragan. “More support for our local schools would help. So would universal access to fast, affordable broadband. Here’s what I know for sure — when rural Iowa has trouble, the rest of the state is struggling too. We really are all in this together.”
The Growing Rural Iowa Task Force will focus on identifying ways to encourage leadership development and strategic development in rural communities. The Connecting Rural Iowa Task Force will look into effectively and sustainably financing connectivity. The Investing in Rural Iowa Task Force will focus its recommendations on improving access to quality housing in rural Iowa.
In September, there will be an Idea Summit for each of the three task forces. Each summit will be open to all Iowans and will include time for public comment. Ideas can also be submitted at iowa.gov/rural.

“I’m always looking for ideas to strengthen rural Iowa,” said Ragan, who grew up on a farm near Rockwell and represents Franklin, Butler and Cerro Gordo counties in the Iowa Senate. “If you have an idea you to share, I’d love to hear it. You can call my home (641) 424-0874 or email me at Amanda.Ragan@legis.iowa.gov.”

1984, George Orwell = 5G agenda. The materials most new houses are made of are synthetic chemical laden i,e toxic, the older houses do not have the 80k chemical amalgamated additives in the building materials, if an older house is kept up they will out live the newer houses built today, not including new houses built with natural materials most people can not afford all by design.

She has done nothing in all the years she has been elected other than to feather the nest of her family. Get rid of the Old Crook.

Care to add some actual facts to your allegations? Or is that too much to ask?

That’s funny as she been sitting on the enrich the UNION bosses committee since she was elected

Four day school weeks are right around the corner. Will save big money for all the kids can home to the farm. Not only that but no need to employ the staff that day or transportation. Monday is the best day of the week to nix. Iowa already went to hours required in a year as opposed to the old way of days required. Hours will be 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Tuesday through Friday. Right now no telling how many million upon millions dollars will be saved in a single year. And the beauty is the feds are on board with this idea. It’s up to the school districts. And there will be a big drop in substitute teachers that will be needed. So doing the basic math what use to cost $10,000 will now cost $8,000. A 20% saving!!! You can do this Democrats and show the state you mean business. Fiscal responsibility it is called.
