MASON CITY – The Mason City school board will meet Monday evening and consider a 2-year contract for Administrator Dave Versteeg and at least one other highly-paid administrator.
The Mason City school board meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 16 at 5:30 PM in the Administrative Center Board Room.
Highlights of the meeting agenda include:
– A recommendation to approve the issuance of a 2 year contract for 2018-19 and 2019-20 for Dave Versteeg as superintendent. A 2018-19 salary amount was not disclosed.
– A recommendation to approve the administrative contract for Barry Andersen to serve as 7-12 Activities Director for the 2018-19 school year as presented. A salary of $94,000 is listed for 260 days of service, with 25 days of paid vacation, to be paid in 12 equal installments. Another $9,438.60 in health and dental premiums are added as additional salary.
– Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Susan Pecinovsky, Mason City High School Associate Principal Barry Andersen, and Mason City Alternative High School Principal David Ciccetti will provide the Board with an update on the Mason City Community School District graduation and dropout rates.
