MASON CITY – Mason City police took a complaint about an alleged drunk driver and located the suspect.
Officers took a traffic complaint on the evening of May 9 at about 10:33 PM. Officers were dispatched and soon located the suspect vehicle near 19th Street SW and Taft Avenue. After an investigation, the driver, 26-year-old Britny Wanita Lynn Brand of Mason City was arrested. She was charged with operating while under the influence and open container of alcohol.
Brand was taken to the county jail, booked and soon released pending a May 25 court date.
