FORT DODGE – A man from Chicago is behind bars in Webster county after he allegedly sexually abused a child in his care in Fort Dodge.
Incarcerated in Webster county jail is Dewayne L. McGhee, age 21 of Chicago, Illinois. He is charged with felony A first-degree sexual abuse, felony B second-degree sexual abuse and felony C child endangerment causing serious injury. Court records show the alleged crimes took place on February 15, 2017 as the alleged victim was in his care.
A warrant was issued for McGhee on March 10, and he was served with that warrant April 7. He is being held on $300,000 bond at this time, and has been appointed a public defender as he awaits a hearing set for April 14.
