Iowa loses to Nebraska in double overtime road contest, 93-90

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Iowa lost to Nebraska 93-90 in double overtime on Thursday night.

Tonight was the first overtime game played between Iowa and Nebraska.

Iowa played its second straight overtime game (Michigan on Sunday and Nebraska on Thursday). Iowa played back-to-back OT games for the first time since Dec. 25 and Dec. 27 in 1984.

Tonight was the highest scoring game between Iowa and Nebraska in the 28-game series.

Four Hawkeyes scored in double figures: Peter Jok (34), Isaiah Moss (17), Tyler Cook (14), and Cordell Pemsl (10). Jok has netted double digits in every game this season; Moss reached double figures for the fifth time, while Cook for the seventh time in nine outings. Jok with his fourth 30-point effort of the season.

Peter Jok moved past Kenyon Murray for 21st on Iowa’s all-time scoring chart.

Nicholas Baer equaled a career high with six blocked shots to go along with five points and a team-best 11 rebounds. Baer has pulled down 10 or more boards three times in his career.

The Hawkeyes return to action on Sunday when they host Rutgers at 3:36 p.m. (CT) on Mediacom Court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
