RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A Rockwell man has been arrested and charged for a third time for drunk driving.
A Cerro Gordo county deputy stopped a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Joseph Howard Schoenfeldt of Rockwell just before 1 AM Friday morning at Partridge Avenue and 210th Street. After an investigation, Schoenfeldt was arrested on a charge of second-offense operating while intoxicated and open container of alcohol. He was taken to jail, booked and later released pending a court date next month.
Schoenfeldt was guilty of drunk driving back in 2008 after an arrest by the Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s office and also in 2003 after an arrest by Mason City police.
According to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), there have been 78 drunk driving fatalities and 9,028 drunk driving arrests this year in Iowa.
When will these sleezoids ever learn
…and why are we actually dealing with this as a “story”…it isn’t like this guy has or will learne anything…and it isn’t like he is really going to see much punishment…just look at the sentences being handed down…they are “out and about” before the ink on the court paper is dry!!!
