MASON CITY – The Mason City Police Department is recommending no travel at this time. Especially “City” streets are 100% iced covered. The Mason City Police Department has answered numerous accidents already this morning, collisions with other vehicles, single vehicle collisions with trees and other objects. The sanders are out, but are having a hard time doing their jobs because of all the traffic and accidents that are occurring all over town. They are also having a hard time keeping up with the streets due to the continued ice forming. Please stay off the city streets until the conditions improve. Citizens need to also use extreme caution even using sidewalks. Thank you.
Lots of them were out there, including those on bikes. Why? What gives them the right to endanger others? Are they so self important?
I have seen a lot of them this afternoon. Slip, sliding away.
Which means….STAY OFF THE STREETS… I wonder how many dummies are out that don’t have to be?
