NIACC totaled 139 points for its fifth-place finish. Drake won the meet with 18 points and Grand View was second with 79 points.
Freshman Amy Fullerton led the Lady Trojans with a 15th place finish in a personal best 22 minutes, 3 seconds on the 5-kilometer course. Drake’s Bailee Cofer won the race in 20:11.
Other counting scores for the Lady Trojans were Guadalupe Diaz was 35th in 23:36, Cassandra Bonsall was 35th in a personal-best 23:36, Michaela Foster was 39th in a personal-best 24:08 and Keisha Gonzague was 40th in 24:10.
Also running for the Lady Trojans was Morgan Graham, who was 47th in 24:47, and Allison Steahr, who was 58th in 26:55.
The NIACC women return to action Sept. 24 at the University of Minnesota Roy Griak Invitational in St. Paul, Minn.
