CEDAR RAPIDS – Two men are dead and two suspects are behind bars after a fatal shooting and police investigation.
Cameron Armad Leonard, age 25, of Cedar Rapids, was arrested on November 09, 2023, in Burlington, Iowa, in connection with the October 5, 2023 homicide of Myron Snyder.
On October 5, 2023, Cedar Rapids police responded to the 3900 block of Sherman Street NE where they located Myron Snyder, age 21, and Maurice Brown, age 21, both deceased. A third subject, Cameron Leonard was found suffering from serious injuries. Leonard was hospitalized and later released. He was located by the U.S. Marshals Northern Iowa Fugitive Task Force and booked at the Des Moines County Correctional Center on charges including:
*Murder 1st Degree
*Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon
*Going Armed with Intent
*Use of a Dangerous Weapon in the Commission of a Crime
*Persons Ineligible to Carry Dangerous Weapons
In a connected arrest, Pierre Danyon Morrow, age 40, of Cedar Rapids, was arrested following investigative efforts related to the homicide investigation. Morrow was arrested on November 9 in Cedar Rapids and booked at the Linn County Correctional Center on the following charges:
*Felon in Possession of Firearm
*Accessory After the Fact
*Obstructing Prosecution or Defense
