CHARLES CITY – Police took a Charles City man to jail for domestic abuse assault for the second time this year.
Officers with the Charles City police department responded to an incident at the 2100 block of Clark Street on March 7 at about 12:12 AM. After an investigation, 21-year-old Brandon J. Farr was arrested for domestic abuse assault. He pleaded not guilty, and Ronda Eichenberger posted bond for him to get out of jail. He now awaits a non-jury trial on April 20.
On January 12, 2016, Charles City police were called to the same location for a disturbance. Officers investigated and determined there was a domestic assault that took place and arrested Farr. A no contact order was set by a judge, but it was dismissed just a week later. Farr was due in court for an arraignment February 16 but he failed to appear. Police caught up with Farr that day and arrested him again. He later pleaded not guilty. No trial date has been set.
