MASON CITY – A victim told police a man had been using her credit card without permission, leading to his arrest on felony forgery and on-going criminal conduct charges.
Late last month, a woman told Mason City police that a man had been taking and using her credit card without her permission. Police investigated, and a Mason City man, Zackary Tyler Scott, age 21, was arrested. A police spokesman said Scott is accused of using a stolen credit card to purchase goods and services at the end of July in the north Iowa area over several days.
“As of right now, police allege the dollar mount forged to be around $995.00,” the officer said.
Scott was arrested and charged with Forgery (credit card) and Ongoing Criminal Conduct. He was jailed and later released, pending a court date.
