HAMPTON – A west coast man who was arrested after a stabbing incident at a Hampton bar has received a deferred judgement and probation.
Vernardo Zayas, age 21 of Wenatchee, Washington was arrested by Hampton Police on March 15 and charged with felony willful injury after a stabbing incident at the Coconut Lounge.
Zayas agreed to plead guilty to a lesser charge of assault with intent to inflict serious injury. He received a deferred judgement, which includes a year of probation and 40 hours of community service. He must also pay $1,214.00 in restitution to his victim.
