Mason City police responded to a call from loss prevention employees at Mills Fleet Farm, 3200 4th Street SW, on Monday afternoon around 2:30 PM. A juvenile – 17-year-old Mark Allen Gruis of Leland – had allegedly tried to steal merchandise, but dropped the goods when confronted, and ran.
Police later located Gruis and arrested him on an unspecified charge.
