CHARLES CITY – Police in Charles City responded to a report of a meth lab and called for backup to clean up the area.
According to Charles City police, on the afternoon of April 5, the Charles City Police Department responded to a report of a methamphetamine lab in the 800 block of Kellogg Avenue. An officer responded to investigate and found what was described as a “meth lab dump site”. The officer contacted the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office and requested a deputy to assist with cleaning u an disposing of the potentially toxic and hazardous items. Deputies with the proper certification cleaned up the lab site.
