MASON CITY – Police were called to a Mason City residence Sunday night for a domestic incident and arrested a man.
An emergency call alerted law enforcement to a domestic situation Sunday evening, March 5 just before 8 PM at 825 12th Street SE. Upon arrival, Mason City police officers investigated the incident and arrested 26-year-old Nicholas Paul Galindo on a charge of serious domestic assault.
Galindo was taken to the county jail for processing. A judge set a no-contact order, and Galindo was released from jail pending a hearing on April 24.
Galindo has previously been charged with riot, as well as felony third offense drunk driving in 2013 in Worth county. A jury found him innocent of that charge.
