OTTUMWA, IOWA – Alliant Energy’s Iowa utility recently completed projects at the Ottumwa Generating Station (OGS) are reducing emissions and making Iowa’s air cleaner, the company said. Local and state leaders, labor partners and project contractors will join OGS co-owners Alliant Energy and MidAmerican Energy to celebrate the completion of a $345 million comprehensive air quality control project and other efficiency upgrades at the facility.
Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds, along with Alliant Energy, project contractors and labor partner representatives and other local and state public officials will be in attendance for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Ottumwa Generating Station.
