CHARLES CITY – An Osage woman was jailed after a disturbance in Charles City over the weekend.
Charles City police were called to the area of E Street and 8th Avenue at about 2:40 AM Sunday morning after a dispute and disturbance was reported in the area. Upon arrival, officers quieted the situation and observed 21-year-ol Megan L. Barritt at the scene. It was determined she was intoxicated and placed under arrest on a charge of public intoxication and taken to jail.
Barritt was released later that day after a guilty plea. She was ordered by a judge to pay $147.75 in fines and court costs.
