Des Moines police seek convenience store robber

10599295_749843641729220_4097126803007517821_nDES MOINES – The Des Moines Police Department is asking for help from the public identifying a robbery suspect.

On Sunday August 31st at 10:36 PM a white male suspect entered the Git no Go convenience store at 3000 Merle Hay Rd in Des Moines. He had a blue t-shirt partially pulled up over his head. The suspect demanded money from the employee and instructed her to go into the bathroom. The employee complied and came out a short time later then notified the police. No weapon was seen or mentioned.

The suspect is described as approximately 5-5 and 160 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue t-shirt and had red hair on the sides but may have been bald on top. It is believed he may usual customer to this business.

Anyone with information on the location or identity of this suspect is asked to contact DMPD Detective Entrekin at 515-237-1411 or the Polk County Crime Stoppers anonymously at 515-223-1400.
