CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man was jailed this week for an alleged domestic assault.
Charles City police went to the 100 block of 7th Avenue on August 25 at about 8:50 PM to investigate a reported domestic assault. Officers placed 28-year-old Matthew Cagley under arrest.
Cagley was taken to jail, booked, and released later he same day as he awaits a preliminary hearing on September 12.
Cagley is a convicted felon related to drug charges brought by Oelwein police in 2009.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
