WATERLOO – Waterloo police are investigating after a man died of gunshot wound on Sunday night.
On Sunday, August 21, 2022, at approximately 10:18 PM, Waterloo Police responded to the 1000 blpck of W 5th Street in reference to a shots fired call. Responding Officers located a male shooting victim and started to administer first aide, until Waterloo Fire arrived on scene. The victim was transported to MercyOne hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
