MASON CITY – A Charles City man wanted on several serious charges was apprehended by police in Mason City in recent days.
On June 14th at about 9:07 PM, Mason City police were called about a traffic complaint at the 2700 block of 4th Street SW. A police officer located the driver of the vehicle in the complaint, and discovered he was wanted on several serious charges out of Floyd county.
Robert M. Watson, age 47 of Charles City was placed under arrest and taken to the Cerro gordo County Jail. He was soon transferred to the Floyd County Jail, where he is still being held on charges of felony first degree burglary, felony willful injury causing bodily injury, felony conspiracy, and aggravated misdemeanor riot.
According to Charles City police, on April 8, 2014, police responded to at least three disturbances between 8:20 PM and 9:20 PM in the areas of the Clarkview Apartments and the 1300 block of Gilbert Street. No further information was made available, but officers stood by at all three incidents to “keep the peace”.
Watson awaits a June 25th court hearing.
