MASON CITY – A Mason City teen crashed his moped this weekend and was cited by police.
Tirrell Hopkins, age 14, of Mason City crashed the moped he was operating on the roadway on Saturday, May 24th at about 5:15 PM near 9th Street NE and North Harrison Avenue. No other vehicles were involved. Hopkins was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.
Tirrell declined ambulance transport to a hospital but was checked briefly by medics.
