Senator Grassley will meet with Iowans in Washington, D.C., from the Iowa Association of Health Underwriters, the Society for Public Health Education, Disabled American Veterans, ONE, the Iowa Alliance of YMCAs, the American Alliance of Museums, the Iowa Credit Union League, Iowa Public Television, the Garden Club of America, the Application Developers Alliance, the American Wind Energy Association, the Iowa Broadcasters Association, Iowa’s Teaming with Wildlife Coalition, the National Association of Convenience Stores, the National Down Syndrome Society, the National Treasury Employees Union, the Civil Air Patrol, the Distributed Wind Energy Association and the American Chiropractic Association.

Senator Grassley will meet with an Iowa family from Norwalk.

Senator Grassley will be a guest on public affairs programs hosted by Cindy Kohlmann on KDTH in Dubuque, Sally Hart on KCII in Washington and Ryan Schlader on WMT in Cedar Rapids.

On Wednesday, February 26, at 8:30 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will speak at the Alliance of YMCAs’ National Advocacy Days breakfast. Grassley has been named the YMCA Congressional Champion for his work to advance the Medicare Diabetes Prevention Act in the Senate Finance Committee.

On Wednesday, February 26, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will testify at a hearing of the House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on “Limitless Surveillance at the FDA: Protecting the Rights of Federal Whistleblowers.”

On Thursday, February 27, at 10 a.m. (ET), Senator Grassley will participate in the weekly executive business meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee. The committee may consider the nominations of Steven Paul Logan to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona, John Joseph Tuchi to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona, Diane J. Humetewa to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona, Rosemary Marquez to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona, Douglas L. Rayes to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona and James Alan Soto to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona. The committee may also consider S. 1675, the Recidivism Reduction and Public Safety Act of 2013, sponsored by Senators Sheldon Whitehouse and Rob Portman, and S. 149, the STOP Identity Theft Act of 2013, sponsored by Senators Amy Klobuchar and Jeff Sessions.
