VENTURA – Another two-car accident Thursday injured two North Iowa residents, this one north of Ventura.
According to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a two-car accident with injuries before noon at Eagle Avenue and 270th Street, just north of Ventura. A vehicle driven by 71-year-old Francis Tagesen of Clear Lake was southbound on Eagle Avenue, while another vehicle driven by 38-year-old Stephanie Madsen of Fertile was northbound. Both vehicles entered the curves on Eagle and collided head-on.
Both drivers were injured and transported to Mercy Hospital in Mason City by Mason City ambulance.
Madsen was cited for failure to have valid insurance.
