MASON CITY – A Mason City man and convicted felon was arrested Friday after police investigated a robbery.
According to a report, Nathan James Wallace, age 52, was taken into custody after an investigation into a robbery at 405 21st Street SE in Mason City. Officers had been called to the location at about 6:00 PM about an alleged robbery that has taken place. Eight Mason City police officers and an Cerro Gordo deputy responded to the scene.
Wallace was arrested at the scene for possession of an illegal drug and drug paraphernalia. He was taken to jail, where he served part of a two day sentence he received from a drug conviction from February of this year. He still owes the court the entire $368.50 in fees and costs that he was ordered to pay. Wallace was then released from jail.
Wallace was convicted of felony burglary in 2003 in Cerro Gordo County court and ordered to pay $879.04 in court costs and fees, but still owes $591.51.
