Jury trial set for November for man charged with two felony counts of lascivious acts

MASON CITY – A Mason City man was arrested last week on a charge of lascivious acts with a child.

According to Mason City police, it was alleged by two teenage females that 27 year-old Michael William Groh fondled or inappropriately touched them in mid-July, 2013. The case was investigated and police applied for an arrest warrant for Groh. He was arrested at his home on September 27th at about noon.

Groh now faces two felony (C) charges of lascivious acts with a child.

Groh posted a $2,000.00 bond on October 2nd and was released from jail.  He has plead not guilty.

A written arraignment was submitted on October 4th by Groh’s attorney, Joel Yunek.  A jury trial was set for November 11th.  A pre-trial conference is set for November 1st.
