MASON CITY – The NIACC men’s cross country team was doing their best sales job Friday afternoon, seeking runners and participants in the first annual Robert’s Run. The event is set for Sept. 21 on the NIACC campus.

The run is part of the NIACC homecoming festivities and honors the memory of former NIACC vocal music instructor Robert Davis. It is a 4-mile run and 1.4 mile walk and starts at 9 a.m.

The entry fee is $20, which includes a T-shirt, if registered by Sept. 14. The entry fee is $25 after Sept. 14. Runners registering after Sept. 14 are not guaranteed a T-shirt.

Medals will be given to the top three male and females in the following age groups: 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60-over. Trophies will be awarded to the overall male and female winners.

Entry forms are available in the NIACC athletic office.

The NIACC men’s country team returns to action Saturday at the Grinnell College Les Duke Invitational.
