CLEAR LAKE – The City of Clear Lake is finalizing details on a project that would renovate the police station and City Hall.
The city is working with Bergland & Cram architects at this time, recently authorizing the negotiation of a professional services agreement with the firm and then approving a facility assessment report the architects prepared.
Doug Foreshoe of Bergland & Cram told the City Council on August 5th that the professional services agreement outlines the design, bidding, and construction services proposed for the City Hall/Police Department Renovation Project and that the consultant fee is proposed at 9.2% of the project which is estimated at $1.3 million.
Bidding on the project is tentatively set for this this fall or winter, with construction set for winter 2014. The project should take seven to ten months to complete, according to City Hall documents.
Peter is right. The laws are on the books and that means it is the responsibility of law enforcement to enforce them. They are there for a reason. The bull sh## that loud pipes somehow make it safer is just that, bull sh## and nothing more than an excuse for the people that think it gives them a bigger penis having loud pipes. I have never heard a Harley until it was past me. These cars today are so well insulated you can’t hear anything when the windows are up. Houses on the other hand do let the noise in and that is disturbing the peace. I feel real bad for the vast majority of bikers who are respectful of other people who get a bad rap because of a few.
Peter, what the heck, really. Maybe they should do somthing about the frogs on the pedal bikes riding around all night selling meth to our children and not worry about loud vehicles. Clear Lake PD is full of a bunch of hard working good citizens, they just need a new leader. VOTE REX!!!!
