The House has voted three times to fund the entire government with the exception of ObamaCare.
Meanwhile, the Senate has voted three times to block efforts to defund or delay ObamaCare. Since Monday, September 30, the Senate has refused to take up any of the House’s legislation and has singlehandedly brought the federal government to a screeching halt.
Friend, it’s reprehensible and I want you to know I’m doing everything in my power to offer solutions to get the government running once again.
While the Democrats refuse to come to the table to start a dialogue, my colleagues and I have passed legislation to fund essential programs including veterans’ benefits and the National Institutes of Health. We’ve even passed legislation to reopen national parks and memorials – for the record, memorials were NOT closed during the government shutdown in 1995-1996.
But President Obama has already vowed to veto these pieces of legislation saying, “Consideration of appropriations bills in this fashion is not a serious or responsible way to run the United States government.”
So shutting it down and refusing to talk to the other party is a responsible way to run our government?
Friend, it looks like it’s going to be another long week in Washington. I will keep you updated as events unfold.

@maybe-you have that right. The libs have been lied to so much they can’t tell the difference. But the SHEEPLE continue to believe the Great Pretender.
